Who is Breaking the Wall?
Breaking the Wall is owned and managed by Ian Cameron, an educational freelancer, with over 25 years experience in the education sector.
Working across roles including Early Years/Primary/Secondary Education, offsite behaviour provisions and ICT Staff Tutor, and working collaboratively with Dundee Contemporary Arts and Screen Scotland, Ian has gained experience in engaging young people and adults with a focus on developing opportunities for creative learning.
Ian was a member of the Screen Scotland curriculum development team that devised the Draft Film and Screen Curriculum for Scotland, and has subsequently been delivering the role-out of the curriculum from Early Years to Secondary. He has also, over the past 15 years, collaborated with the Discovery Film Festival as part of their “A-Team” developing educational resources to support school engagement with the youth film festival in Dundee.
Breaking the Wall works in partnership with stakeholders to develop creative learning practices to engage with not only young people of Scotland, but also local communities to evolve opportunities for engaging with activities that encourage creativity and creative thinking.
